The head coach of Darussafaka Selcuk Ernak praised Partizan’s fans after his team was defeated in Pionir (“Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall).
“The atmosphere was great, like always when we play against Partizan. They have the best fans in Europe, and we traveled a lot. The fans here know basketball and they know how to affect the game. They know the moment when they need to react, to help their team. And this atmosphere at the press conference is also proof of the great basketball culture,” coach Ernak started his press conference.
“Before the match, I told my players that Partizan is playing totally different at home. Not that they aren’t a good team, they are excellent ones, but in front of their own crowd is totally different Partizan. Defensively, my team did a good job, we stopped them at 69 points, but we were nervous offensively. I congratulate Partizan, wish them luck,” said Selcuk Ernak, who is hoping his team will make it to Top 8.
“I am hoping that Partizan will be first in the group and Dasska (Darussafaka) second,” he stated, as he knows that there is still a lot of work in front of his squad.
