Svetislav Pesic has been appointed the new Head Coach of the German National Team, the DBB announced on Wednesday.
The experienced Serbian coach already served as the Head Coach of the German NT during 1987-1993, eventually leading the Germans to the Eurobasket 1993 Gold Medal.
“I am very happy that we can work with such a successful and famous coach like Pesic. He is extremely experienced and he is exactly the coach that we wanted to have.” said DBB President, Ingo Weiss.
“I am also very happy for the upcoming challenge in the German NT. I believe that there is a lot to achieve with the German NT.” commented Pesic.
