NBA legend Gary Payton talked to Marcus Smart after the Celtics win over the Bulls. The Glove encouraged Smart to keep playing the way he does, saying he reminds Payton of himself a lot.
One of the reasons for that is because the Celtics point guard is vocal and gets his teammates going, just like Payton did.
In response Smart was thankful for the compliments, saying that it means a lot.
This season, Smart is averaging 11.6 points and 4.7 assists per game for the Celtics.
