Crvena Zvezda defeated Olympiacos (88:81) in the EuroLeague, all thanks to the excellent third quarter and 34 points of Lorenzo Brown.

In Round 15 of the best European basketball club competition, Crvena Zvezda scored its 6th victory by beating the Greek squad in Belgrade.

The Red and Whites (Crvena Zvezda) started the game very well and took the lead in the opening minutes. But, on about little less than 3 minutes till the end of the first 10 minutes, Olympiacos started its engine and finished that part with a five-point lead (21:16). And by the end of the first half, the guests from Greece were leading by 10 points (40:50).

The second half of the match brought totally different scenarios, especially in the third quarter. Crvena Zvezda won that part of the game with a score of 23:11 and the goal in the last ten minutes was only to protect the lead. And as that wasn’t enough, the home team increased the difference and won 88:81.

The best in the winning squad was, already mentioned, Lorenzo Brown with 34 points (index rating of 32). Billy Baron scored 17. These two players were the only ones who scored more than 10 points for the home squad.

Nikola Milutinov was unstoppable on the other side. The Serbian center dropped a double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds) for an index rating of 34. His effort was wasted because it wasn’t enough for Olympiacos to celebrate in Belgrade. His teammate Brandon Paul was the best scorer with 21 points, while Georgios Printezis finished the match with 16 points and 8 rebounds.

After this round, both Crvena Zvezda and Olympiacos have 6 victories and 9 defeats.
