Emporio Armani Milano star Malik Hairston will be sidelined for upto three weeks as he rests an achiles tendon injury.

Though it is a blow for coach Sergio Scariolo and his side, Hairston should be back in time for the start of the Euroleague Top 16.

“He will have to rest for a few weeks in order to heal an Achiles tendon injury. This will give the opportunity to some younger players to grow and gain experience” Scariolo said.

Hairston averaged 13.9 points in the opening ten Euroleague games, as he led his side to the Top 16.

It is estimated that Hairston will be ready to play in the Top 16 when the Euroleague resumes on the 18th of January.
