ASVEL Villeurbanne has announced the signing of French international star Tony Parker, until the end of lockout.

Parker was hinting about the move for a long time and after the last failed meeting between NBA players and teams he officially signed for the French club.

The player is also the owner of the team and its general director of basketball affairs. ASVEL will be competing in Eurocup the following season.

The player who won the silver medal in the last Eurobasket won’t be the first case of a French NT member returning to France. Nicolas Batum has signed, and already won a trophy, with SLUC Nancy while Boris Diaw joined 2nd Division club Bordeaux, where he is a shareholder.
