Zalgiris is trying to find his real capabilities until now having a 3-5 record after the defeat against the “Reds”. The Lithuanians were quite good defensively in the first half, they won the rebounding “battle” and scored 39 points in the first 20’ of the match.

Sarunas Jaskevicius’ players collapsed defensively in the last twentu minutes and had their third worst second half in the offensive end scoring mostly from the free throw line and shooting quite «poor» from behind the arc(0-8 the after the 1st half)

Zach LeDay talked to TalkBasket.net for the fact that his team didn’t play like itself, the feeling of playing against his old team and what they need to do in order to add to the winning column in the next couple of games.

Q: You started well in the first half. In the second half what went wrong for your team, in your opinion?

A: Not enough energy. We didn’t play like ourselves tonight. We didn’t bring our energy to the game, they brought it (the energy) and they were able to win the game. If were more energized we would be alright.

Q: How do you feel that you returned to Greece and faced your ex-team?

A: It was different, but in the end of the day you got to adjust, being a competitor we wanna win the game so we came out(on the court) to do our business, but we didn’t handle it the right way.

Q: Third defeat in the last four. What do you believe you have to change in order to be better in the next couple of games?

A: We got to change a lot, you know, we got watch the film, get to work and stay in the gym. We got to listen to our coach and get to running the “system” the right way.
