Myler Turner believes that the Pacers rookie Goga Bitadze is better prepared to the NBA than he was at the same age. The 23-year-old says that Bitadze knows the game better.

For Turner, the ability to score was his saving grace. But needed time to understand the sets, to read the game. Bitadze is already ahead in that regard, according to Turner.

Here is what Turner said via Mark Montieth of Pacers.com:

“I think he knows the game better than I did. When I came into the league I didn’t really know how to rotate on defense, I didn’t really know NBA sets, I didn’t know what I was supposed to do. I could score. That was my saving grace; I could shoot the ball. With him, he can do a little bit of everything. He knows the game a lot better than I did at that age.”

Bitadze was the 18th overall pick by the Pacers in the 2019 NBA Draft. The 20-year-old Georgian arrived to the NBA from Buducnost of Montenegro.
