You don’t get a chance often to see a team wearing the colours of their fierce rivals. The players of Lietuvos Rytas were training today ahead of the game against Montepaschi Siena in Italy wearing green jerseys. Green is the colour of Zalgiris which is the worst enemy of Rytas.
The luggage of Rytas which included player jerseys and shoes was lost in the airport during the flight to Italy and because of that the club had to look for alternative options. The solution was found – the players were given the jerseys of Montepaschi for their training session. Ironically, the colours of Montepaschi are the same as those of Zalgiris – green and white.
