The Los Angeles Lakers big man JaVale McGee, who signed to a two-year, $8.2 million deal with a player option this offseason, says the newly-acquired center Dwight Howard fits great with the rest of the Lakers:

“I feel like he’s gonna fit great. We have similar games. The fact that we can have a 1-2 punch right after each other I dont think that’s gonna be good for other teams at all … two bigs that can defend the rim, run the floor and dunk it. I’m excited,” McGee said.

This past season, McGee averaged 12.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 0.7 assists per game. Howard, meanwhile, missed most part of the 2018-19 season owing to injuries, averaging 12.8 points along with 9.2 rebounds per game. As a Laker, he averaged 17.1 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per contest.
