If you know of someone in your community who should be recognized for their outstanding performance on the court, exemplary sportsmanship and athletic talent, congratulate them for their outstanding basketball achievements and encourage them to register for the IAP Sports 2009 DIAMOND Classic Basketball Recruitment Showcase. For a limited time we have slashed our fee for less than half of the original cost ($100.00). This unique event will be held in Toronto at Ryerson University, from July 23rd -26th; Vancouver at Simon Fraser University from August 7th-10th; and lastly in Halifax at Acadia University from August 20th-23rd, 2009.
Because this is a charitable event, each donation of $100.00 is going towards a series of projects we have set-up on our quest to ‘Connect the World Through Sports’ along with your showcase registration fee. In order to CONNECT THE WORLD THROUGH SPORTS we are hosting a series of community awareness projects:
►CANADA Wide Shoe Drive – Purpose: to collect 20,000 + slightly used shoes and keep them out of the landfills by cleaning, re-packaging and shipping them to communities in need as well as creating basketball equipment out of the un-usable sneakers to be shipped to local communities as well as Africa.
►Connect the Dot’s Charity Concert and Family fair – Purpose: to raise funds to build the 1st basketball school in Cape Coast Ghana (Africa)
►The International Sports Over Boundaries Fundraiser – Purpose: to raise enough funds to help fly the Cape Coast Hoops basketball team from Africa to the Toronto basketball recruitment showcase.
►IAP Sports Scholarship Fund – Purpose: to raise funds in the community to help stand out athletes pay for College and University tuition fees.

Registration can be made online from Monday, 6th until Thursday July 16th, 2009 on our events website www.iapsports.org, Please note the dates for registration at this discounted rate of $100.00, should you miss the deadline the original cost of $225.00 will take effect, along with the removal of the Diamond Rush link. After Thursday, July 16th, 2009 online registration is to be made on www.iapsports.org set to the original fee of $225.00. Feel free to invite your friends to register for the discounted rate! Only a limited number of players will be accepted and reservations are on a first come, first served basis, so please register early to avoid any disappointment. If you are unable to register online please contact one of our team members at your earliest convenience so that we may secure a day of registration/payment option for you. At this time we also suggest that you set up a FREE player profile on www.iapsports.com so that you will be able to showcase your personal videos, photographs, stats and player bio. By creating your player profile and featuring it on the dynamic and powerful promotional tool, the internet, we can help get you the exposure that you need. Your profile will allow you to connect with recruiters, athletic departments of various universities, fans and other athletes.

Day 2: Alan Stein’s Stronger Team Basketball Boot Camp, Nutritional Education, Basic Skills Training, 5-on-5 Games begin
Day 3: Basic Skills Training, Dunk Competition, 3-Point Competition, 5-on-5 Games continue
Day 4: Basic Skills Training, 5-on-5 Games conclude, Academic Advising, All-Star Game, Award Ceremony, Closing Ceremony
This four-day recruitment showcase has been designed specifically for aspiring athletes on two competitive entry levels to receive all the necessary education, exposure and professional guidance to facilitate each individual athlete on their journey to recruitment. Our showcased event is an encouraging, educational and personalized competition profiling the top athletic talent in the country. IAP has cordially invited multiple professional, university and college basketball coaches as well as recruitment agencies and talent scouts to attend the showcase as spectators, motivational speakers and circuit trainers.
