In a thrilling game that proved once more that both teams belong to the elite of world basketball Serbians were the last to smile as they beat Argentina in the dying seconds of the game thanks to a threepointer by Savanovic.

Driven by the amazing duo of Krstic and… Savanovic Serbia showed real character and stood up to the Argentines’ pressure in the last minutes of the game. Argentina, on the other hand, depended on Scola too much, who truth to be told, was literally unstoppable, scoring 31 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.

Teodosic and Rasic pulled a lot of weight in the last quarter of the game handing out assists and when needed holding onto the ball in order to gain fouls and shoot free throws. Both were tremendously calm and scored all their free throws, after Argentina started committing fouls in the last minute in order to cut the difference.

The results means that there are two scenarios for the matchups in the first knock out round for the two teams:

#1. Serbia vs Croatia and Brazil vs Argentina (if Brazil beats Croatia)
#2. Serbia vs Brazil and Argentina vs Croatia (if Croatia beats Brazil)
