Lithuanian national team lost its captain after Ramunas Siskauskas retired from the national team last summer. It didn't take much time for head coach Ramunas Butautas to decide who should be the new leader of the team. Lrytas.lt reports that right after the main training camp started Robertas Javtokas was picked as teh new captain.
29-year-old center is the most experienced player currently on the team after other veterans decided to skip Eurobasket for different reasons. Javtokas has played for Lietuvos Rytas, Panathinaikos, Dynamo Moscow during his career. He will be wearing yellow-blue jersey of Khimki for the next two years.
