The president of the Italian Basketball Federation, Gianni Petrucci, said Luigi Datome should be the one to succeed him in the Federation.
Here is what Petrucci told the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera:
“When he (Datome) decides to introduce himself as such, my chair will become his. I’d really like to see who wouldn’t vote [for him]. He has charisma, he’s intelligent and he has already assigned assignments to everyone. Datome for president!”
Datome currently is the president of the EuroLeague Players Association.
