According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Dallas Mavericks and power forward/center Dwight Powell have agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract extension.

“Dallas has made it clear since the season ended that re-signing Dwight Powell to an extension was among its highest off-season priorities,” Stein reported.

This past season, the 27-year-old averaged 10.6 points, 1.5 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game, while shooting at 59.7 percent from the field.
