Maccabi HaifaMaccabi will travel to United States in October to face New Jersey Nets. It's not the famous Maccabi Tel Aviv though. Nets decided to invite Maccabi Haifa for exhibition game on October 3 at the Prudential Center, InsideHoops reports. Maccabi Haifa currently lies in 4th place in Israeli league with 12 wins and 6 losses.

The number of wins recorded by Nets this season is higher by only one despite the fact that they played 70 games already. The Nets are having the wors season in both club's and NBA history.

Maccabi's owner Jeffrey Rosen is a native of New Jersey. He believes that the game against NBA team will be a great international exposure to his team. Nets CEO Brett Yormark is also positive about the upcoming event. According to him, this game will a an opportunity for the Nets fans to see a team with rich history.

Prudential Center will be the home of New Jersey Nets for 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons as the team moves to Newark.
