The Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic scored 37 points (11/18 FG including 3/5 from three), grabbed nine rebounds, tallied three steals, blocked two shots, handed out six assists and made all 12 of his free throws in the Nuggets’ 121-113 home win over the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series on Monday night.

“I was aggressive a little bit more…We found a way to win the game. That’s the most important thing,” Jokic said.

Jamal Murray managed 23 points and eight assists, Paul Millsap added 19 points and six boards for the Nuggets.

On the other hand, Damian Lillard posted a game-high 39 points along with six rebounds, while hitting 4/12 3-point attempts, Enes Kanter added 26 points and seven boards for the Blazers.

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Wednesday in Denver.
