The Dallas Mavericks (31-47) rookie Luka Doncic posted 27 points (11/21 FG, 2/8 3PT, 3/3 FT), grabbed 12 rebounds, blocked a shot and handed out six assists in the Mavericks’ 108-110 home loss over the Minnesota Timberwolves (35-43) at American Airlines Center on Wednesday night.

With 1.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter Doncic passed the ball to a wide-open Jalen Brunson who missed the game winning 3-pointer.

“For me it’s not a question. I trusted him. The whole team trusted him. It was a great shot. Sometimes it’s not going to go in,” Doncic said, per USA Today.

Dwight Powell contributed 25 points and eight rebounds, Trey Burke added 12 points and four assists for the Mavs.

On the other hand, Karl-Anthony Towns finished with a game-high 28 points (12/15 FG), 13 rebounds, three blocks and three assists for the Timberwolves.

Andrew Wiggins scored 19 points and seven assists, Tyus Jones added 15 points with six assists.
