ImageACB has presented figures and statistics which prove the league's development in each and every aspect. Most notables figures were the 29% increase ACB clubs achieved in their income since 2007/08 season and the broadcast of ACB in 44 countries!

The Spanish League held its Assembly in Barcelona yesterday with two main items in the agenda: economic results and  the future of refereeing.

Regarding finances, the ACB showed results with a 29% increase in income in relation to the announced budget for 2007-08 season. This confirms the sustained progress of the ACB, which increased its income by fourth year in a row. Clubs were also informed of budgets for the current 2009-10 season during the Assembly. Results of last year allow the ACB to maintain the pool for the teams. All 18 teams voted in favour of the economic figures presented by the Association.

Eduardo Portela, ACB President, was quoted by saying "We are very satisfied to explain to our clubs we keep growing. The ACB is financially healthy. We informed the clubs on last year economic results, on budgets for the current season, and also explained that innovation can´t stop. We will launch ambitious projects to reinforce the brand ACB ".

On the TV side, the ACB confirmed that its games and related content can now be seen in 44 countries in four continents after the last additions: Israel and Turkey.

Finally, the ACB is studying a professionalisation model for its referees, intended to be effective next season. So, the meetings between the clubs commission created some weeks ago and the Referees Association will continue.
