NBA announced that the Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Taj Gibson has been fined $25.000 for “obscene gesture toward referee” in the matchup between Minnesota and the Utah Jazz on Friday night in Salt Lake City.

The incident occurred during the third quarter, when Gibson hit Joe Ingles and got a foul. Gibson disagreed with the call and started screaming at the referee.

Shortly after that, the 33-year-old player got two technical fouls and was ejected from the game.

This season, Gibson is averaging 10.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists, while shooting at 56.5 percent from the floor in 25.5 minutes of action.
