Fragiskos Alvertis, the man who’s played for Panathinaikos Athens for 19 consecutive years and has won 25 titles (under which, 5 Euroleague ones) announced his retirement as a player.
The administration of Panathinaikos in turn announced that the jersey with the number 4 will be retired forever and will be hung on the ceiling of OAKA joining the banners of all the titles he helped win. A unique move in Greek basketball history, but truly a deserved one.
