Kevin Pangos signed with Barcelona in the summer and referred to what Sarunas Jasikevicius told him before joining the Catalans.
Here is what the Canadian point guard said in an interview with the official website of the EuroLeague:
“Yes, I talked to him a little bit and he said that Barcelona is the best club in Europe. He loved it here and thought it was a great opportunity for me, so I should make the most of it.”
Coach Jasikevicius spent four years with Barcelona and won the EuroLeague title in 2003.
Pangos played for Zalgiris Kaunas in the past two seasons and was one of the Lithuanians’ leaders.
Under Jasikevicius, he averaged 12.7 points, 5.9 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game, leading the team to the EuroLeague Final Four for the first time since 1999.
