The Phoenix Suns and Austin Rivers parted ways, as Adrian Wojnarowski of the ESPN reported.
According to Wojnarowski, the 26-year-old player and the Suns “concluded [he] fits better on an older team that’s pursuing playoffs”. Austin Rivers was on the final year of his $12.6 million contract.
This season, Rivers is averaging 7.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting at 39.2 percent from the field.
