In a match where neither team led by more than six points, Baskonia defeated CSKA Moscow at home (76-73) to claim a much-needed victory.

Despite being down by three in the fourth quarter (66-69), the hosts went on an 8-2 run to turn things around (74-71).

Kyle Hines kept the visitors alive and the game was decided in the final seconds.

With Rodriguez and Luca Vildoza missing two crucial three-pointers, the Muscovites had the chance to tie the game and force an overtime.

But, both Nando De Colo and Alec Peters couldn’t hit a three-pointer and, consequently, the Basques stood tall and earned a crucial win at home (76-73).

Vincent Poirier (18 points, eight rebounds) and Tornike Shengelia (15 points, eight boards) led the winners, with Matt Janning adding 13 points.

On the other hand, Peters had a season-high 20 points (on 6/13 shooting) for the losing squad, as Corry Higgins and Hines contributed 17 and 14 points, respectively.

Baskonia were victorious for the fourth time this season and climbed higher in the standings (4-7), whereas CSKA Moscow suffered just their second loss in the season (9-2).
