We might see totally different Lietuvos rytas next season. According to Krepsinis magazine, Mindaugas Lukauskis, Andrius Slezas and Roberts Stelmahers are likely to leave the club. Departure of Stelmahers and Slezas might not be a big surprise after they both played little this season unlike Lukauskis who enjoyed one of the best seasons in his career.

The club has already signed three Lithuanians: Donatas Zavackas, Marius Prekevicius and Steponas Babrauskas. Mindaugas Katelynas from Armani Jeans Milano is very close to joining the club according to rytasbasket.com

Lietuvos rytas will have a new coach after Aleksandar Trifunovic’s contract has not been renewed. Three Lithuanian coaches are named as the main favourites: Jonas Kazlauskas who is now coaching China national team, Ramunas Butautas, head coach of Lithuania national team and ASK Riga and Rimas Kurtinaitis, head coach of Wroclaw. Then new coach is expected to be announced at the beginning of June.

Hollis Price is also very close to leaving the club. Lietuvos rytas might not be able to match the offers of the likes of Maccabi to the American point guard. There are already some players rumoured to be the targets of the club. They are: Omar Cook (Red Star), Milt Palacio (Partizan), Scoonie Penn (Efes Pilsen) and Milos Vujanic (Dynamo Moscow).
