Nikos Pappas played very well offensively and helped Panathinaikos defeat Olympiacos at home in the Greek derby (79-70).

The Greek shooting guard led the winners in scoring, with 24 points in just 20 minutes of action. Keith Langford and DeShaun Thomas added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

On the other hand, Zach LeDay had a game-high 20 points for the losing squad, as Giorgos Printezis contributed 11 points and nine rebounds and Janis Timma 10 points and nine boards.

The “Greens” were in front by just three at halftime (32-29), but they extended their lead to 10 in the second half (44-34).

The “Reds” cut the deficit to four at the end of the third quarter (55-51), but the hosts scored 24 points in the fourth quarter and never looked back to win the game (79-70).

Panathinaikos remained undefeated in the Greek Basket League (6-0), whereas Olympiacos suffered their first defeat (5-1).
