ImageSpartak St. Petersburg added an athletic force to its lineup with the signing of James "Flight" White. The swingman spent the preseason with Denver of the NBA, who traded for White’s rights in September, but released him last month.

White (201, 27) split time last season between Anaheim of the NBDL and Houston of the NBA. He averaged 25.9 points and 3.9 rebounds in 34 games for Anaheim, ranking second in the league in scoring. He later moved to Houston, for whom he saw limited action in four regular season and five playoff games.

White has European experience in the form of a season at Fenerbahce Ulker, for whom he averaged 6.8 points in 21 Euroleague games during the 2007-08 season, helping the club reach the Quarterfinal Playoffs and win the Turkish League championship.

White played college basketball at the University of Florida and the University of Cincinnati and has played professionally for San Antonio of the NBA and Austin of the NBDL.
