Rogier JansenRogier Jansen, a member of the Dutch National Team, has inked a 3-year contract with Eiffel Towers/Den Bosch. The 24 year old guard extended originally for 3 seasons with GasTerra/Groningen late November 2008.

He asked for his release due to personal reasons this past week which was accepted by Groningen. Eiffel Towers did react extremely quickly and was able to sign the 188 cm guard with immediate effect.

Jansen, who was averaging 12,4 ppg (51,7%) and 3,4 apg in 26 minutes per outing this past season for Groningen, is expected to become an important part of a 3-man rotation at both guard spots for the team of U.S. head coach Don Beck.

He has also played abroad (Belgium) for Leuven in the 2005-2006 season. He was active for Groningen for 4 seasons in 2 equal periods of 2 years. After Leuven, he was under contract by West-Brabant Giants for 1 season before moving back to Groningen (again).
