Panathinaikos and Nikos Pappas didn’t reach an agreement regarding the renewal of the Greek player’s contract, so it’s still unclear whether the 28-year-old guard will play for the “Greens” next season.
The two sides had a meeting on Thursday, with Panathinaikos making two offers, which were both rejected by Pappas.
Concerning the offers, the first one included a four-year, 3M euros, deal (1+1+1+1), along with a team option for each season, while the second one included a guaranteed two-year, 1.3M euros, contract.
Panathinaikos, and especially the club’s owner, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, were not satisfied with the Greek guard’s rejection, so it’s very likely they will immediately start searching for his replacement.
