San Antonio Spurs center Joffrey Lauvergne is expected to sign with Fenerbahce within the following days, making the team’s frontline even stronger.
According to Ismail Senol of Turkish bEIN Sports and Adrian Wojnarowski of the ESPN, the Frenchman will opt out of his contract with his current squad and will become a free agent on Sunday, July 1st. He will then be available to join the Turks.
Lauvergne was willing to leave the NBA and return to the Euroleague, with CSKA Moscow and Barcelona also offering him a lucrative contract.
However, Fenerbahce made the best offer and has reached an agreement with the French center. The club’s official announcement is expected within the next few days.
