Following their relegation to the Greek Basket League second division, Koroivos have taken the extraordinary step by cancelling their two Americans flight back home.
Import players Marcus Posley and Jahil Carson were ready to board a plane back to the States but sensationally learned while at the airport that their airplane tickets back to the USA had been cancelled.
The two both received text messages saying: “The GM us strict orders to tell you that he canceled the tickets. He says goodbye, wishing to both of you that life gives you back everything you did to Koroivos”. This came courtesy of Greek website SDNA.
Koroivos were relegated following a surprising loss to already relegated side Trikala on the final day of the Greek season. During that game, Carson lost consciousness and collapsed midway through the fourth quarter of that game and while he got back to his feet, he had to be helped by several medical staff.
And in a conversation via Twitter to Italian outlet Sportando, both players have come out publically against the club.
The text message Jahii Carson and Marcus Posley got from Koroivos: "GM gave me strict orders to tell you just this… He cancelled your tickets. He is saying good bye with the wish, to both of you, your lives payback to you everything you did to Koroivos"

Not one payment on time! I did everything for this club to be just thrown to the side and blamed for a game that was lost at the end of the season! I don’t come from a place where we “throw games”! Basketball is a way of life to better ourselves so we can have a better life for

For this GM and President of Koroivos BC to wrongfully accuse Jahii Carson and I of “throwing a game and being bribed with bets” is absolutely INSUNE! I’ve showed nothing but respect and worked my ass off for this team and city for 9months without receiving not one single payment

Ourselves and our families! This is crazy for them to try to ruin our names and this only being my first year in Europe and 2 year as a pro! And honestly none of them were man enough to confront me with anything face to face! To leave players stranded on a foreign airport 👌🏾…

I was hurt by the lost but after this coward response, now I’m happy there is no team so that players will never have to go through what we had to!
