Real Madrid coach Pablo Laso has said that the return Sergio Llull is much sooner than what people think.

Llull has been working hard on his rehab and has regularly posted videos on his various social media channels during individual work-outs and his fitness seems to improve with every post he puts up.

And the progress is backed up by Laso, who is predicting that last season’s EuroLeague MVP will make a swift comeback, provided he feels safe.

“I used to say months but we already forgot that word,” Laso said to Spanish outlet Marca.

“We can think about weeks or days. That’s good but there is no specific date or game for his return. We want him to be fit, to feel safe and we also want to feel safe with him. That’s going to be easier.”

Laso has also been boosted by the news that Luka Doncic should return

Doncic has been out for the last two weeks due to injury and has missed the last two EuroLeague games as a result.

“He’s better,” Laso said on Doncic. “It’s the first day he’s been able to do something with the rest of the group. I don’t want to be optimistic or pessimistic but in these muscular injuries it’s dangerous to start prematurely. He will travel with the team and we will decide.”
