This year’s Copa del Rey might be in jeopardy after ACB and ABP (Basketball players’ union) will stage a meeting on Tuesday with the aim of reaching an agreement just one day before the strike begins.
An official letter stated:
“This Tuesday at noon, the Higher Sports Council will hold a meeting between representatives of the ACB and the ABP with the participation of the Secretary of State, Mr. Jose Ramon Lete, with the objective of moving towards an agreement in the Collective contract”.
If both sides don’t reach an agreement then the Copa del Rey might not be played.
