Fernandez scored the game-winning bucket with 2.9 seconds left to hand Real Madrid their seventh straight win as a 75-73 success over Baskonia lifted them into third place.

Trey Thompkins and Fabien Causeur led the winners with 13 points each.

Fenerbahce held off Panathinaikos 67-62 in a physically demanding contest that had its share of controversies.

Jason Thompson paced Fenerbahce with 14 points as they secure the head-to-head over Panathinaikos, which could prove important at the end of the regular season.

Olimpia Milano produced an offensive masterclass to end a four-game losing streak with an emphatic 101-87 victory over Unicaja Malaga, which has now lost three straight and dropped to 7-11.

Andrew Goudelock led Milano with 18 points led the hosts. Backcourt mate Jordan Theodore added a double-double with 14 points and 11 assists.

CSKA Moscow remain top of the EuroLeague pile with a resounding 110-79 win over Anadolu Efes in the Russian capital.

Cory Higgins paced the winners with 21 points as CSKA hit 18 three-pointers, one shy of the all-time record held by Montepaschi Siena in 2012.
