After many rumors and offers from teams like Unicaja Malaja, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Olympiacos, Rafa Martinez finally decided to extend his contract and stay with Valencia.
The new contract will keep the recently called up to the NT player with Valencia until the summer of 2014 (unless of course the club sells him before that). 28-year old Martinez averaged 13.5 points in last year’s ACB campaign of Valencia.
