As the FIBA World Cup qualifiers took centre stage, the EuroLeague regular season continued on Friday with three games highlighted by Panathinaikos’ 82-80 win over Real Madrid at the OAKA.

KC Rivers led the way with 20 points to lead the Greens as they improve to 6-3 and remained undefeated at home.

Fenerbahce led from start to finish but still had to hold on thanks to several spirited comebacks from Khimki but in the end the Turkish side triumphed 71-67, improving its record to 6-3 with a fourth win in five games.

James Nunnally top scored for Fenerbahce with 20 points.

CSKA Moscow secured an impressive 89-80 road win against Unicaja Malaga to improve CSKA to a 7-2 record, in a share of the first place in the standings, while Unicaja drops to 3-6.

Sergio Rodriguez scored 10 of his game-high 21 points in the final quarter to guide CSKA to victory.
