Marc Gasol will be left out of Memphis Grizzlies’ pre-season opener tonight against Orlando Magic as he continues his rehab from an ankle injury.
Gasol suffered the ankle issue in the Eurobasket bronze medal game against Russia.

“We continue with the recovery of the ankle,” Gasol said. “We want to be 100 percent ready before returning to action. We do not want any kind of relapse. We’re improving and we’re happy with the progression we’ve made.”
Gasol is expected to be ready for the latter pre-season games, ahead of their season opener on October 18 at home to the New Orleans Pelicans.
