Barcelona is looking to reinforce the SF position and the main target is no other than Jan Vesely of Partizan, who had a superb season with the Serbian Champions.

20-year old and 210cm tall Jan Vesely may very well be the primary target of the Euroleague Champions, but his signing is definitely not going to be an easy one. He is still under contract with Partizan until 2013 and even though his salary is very small and he could be earning multiple times that in some bigger club, he has no buyout clause. Which means that Partizan is able to ask for any amount and negotiate at their very own terms.

The Serbian club of course does not want to lose the player and given the right offer could mean selling the player and covering a good part of next season’s budget.

The other problem in Vesely’s case could come from the player himself. Just a couple of weeks ago he withdrew his participation from the NBA Draft so he now seems to have two options: either stay with Partizan for one more year and if he progresses as expected be drafted at a high position next summer, or transfer to a bigger club like Barcelona and stay a couple of seasons more in Europe, earning good money before he goes to the NBA. The first option will offer him a bigger role and more playing time, while the second will offer him more money and the prestige of having played with the EL Champions.
