Lithuanian star Sarunas Jasikevicius is likely to finish his career in Tel Aviv. Israeli newspaper ‘Maariv’ suggests that the 34-year-old veteran point guard is finalising the details of a two-year contract with the Yellows. Saras’s current contract with Panathinaikos runs out this summer.
Jasikevicius has been hit by injuries for the most part of the season. He has only appeared in seven Euroleague games for Panathinaikos, during which he averaged 4.4 points and 2.1 assists.
Former European player of the year enjoyed the best years of his career in Maccabi. He won two straight Euroleague titles in 2004 and 2005 with the Israeli giants before leaving Europe for NBA.
