EuroLeague strugglers Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv have been dealt a blow by hearing that free scoring guard Andrew Goudelock will be out for a maximum of six weeks due to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his ankle.

The problem that the American has had will keep him out for the reminder of the season as a result.

Goudelock, who ranks third in scoring with 17.3 points per game this season, has already missed his last two games. The procedure should relieve Goudelock from the pain he’s been experiencing that has limited his playing time in recent weeks.

Goudelock has scored in double figures in 24 consecutive EuroLeague appearances, and ranks fourth in career scoring average and first among active players with 17.1 points. He also owns the EuroLeague single-game record for three-pointers made with ten, from the time he played for Fenerbahce.

Maccabi have had a season to forget in the EuroLeague as they sit third bottom with a highly unlikely chance of reaching the Playoffs. They have lost three of their last four games with six games remaining.
