Having lost 12 games in a row, Bristol Flyers have now won their last three after completing a successful double-header on the road this weekend.

Bristol avenged their recent loss in front of the BBC Sport cameras to Worcester Wolves with a hard-fought 74-81 win on Friday night before following with an 89-95 success over Cheshire Phoenix.

Six players reached double figures in Sunday’s win and head coach Andreas Kapoulas was pleased with his side’s response going into the weekend.

“It was nice to see the game-plan come to life,” he said.

“After 11 straight league losses, we have shown great character to respond.

“The result against Leeds was very important because it gave us new confidence and to be able to win on the road is great.

“We are very happy with the weekend performances and must continue to build on this.”
