Unics Kazan has bolstered its backcourt by signing swingman Orlando Johnson to a three-month contract. Johnson (1.96 meters, 28 years old) played briefly in the EuroLeague for Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz during the 2014-15 season.

He spent the preseason with Milwaukee of the NBA after finishing last season in china with Guangxi. Johnson has previously played for Indiana, Sacramento, New Orleans and Phoenix in the NBA, for Fort Wayne and Austn in the NBDL and had a stint playing in the Philippines, too.

Prior to turning pro, Johnson was a scoring machine in college, averaging 17.8 points, along with 5.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists during his four-year college career at Loyola Marymount University and University of California-Santa Barbara. In 2010, he was chosen the Big West Conference Player of the Year.
