It’s safe to say that starting life with Barcelona in a hospital bed was not what Petteri Koponen envisioned but the Finn has been released and has even visited his team-mates at the Palau Blauguana.
Koponen was involved in a car accident in the early hours of Monday morning and was in a craniocerebral trauma, which simply put means that the 28-year-old suffered a intracranial injury.
The Helsinki native was originally put into intensive care but was quickly released from the ward and was in a stable condition.
Koponen’s convalescence has since improved dramatically and was released from hospital, leaving the Finn with one thing on his mind.
