Kyle Kuzma discusses barriers to owning assets

Kyle Kuzma questioned how people struggling to cover basic living expenses are supposed to begin investing and building wealth.

During a discussion with entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David, Kuzma addressed the common financial advice encouraging people to purchase assets rather than spend their money on things that do not generate wealth.

The NBA forward acknowledged that some individuals lack motivation or are unwilling to work, but argued that others face financial circumstances that make investing difficult.

“So we tell people to buy assets. And to your point, there’s some people that are lazy, some people that just don’t wanna work.”

Kuzma then raised concerns about people whose paychecks are largely spent on essential expenses, including housing and food, leaving little money available for investments.

“But there’s also people that struggle, ‘have no challenges and what would you send those people that,’ their check is going to rent, groceries. How do they start owning stuff?”

Bet-David responded that people in those situations should focus on improving their earning potential.

“By increasing your market value, in life you have to increase your market value.”
