After an unsuccessful stint in the NBA, German international Tibor Pleiss looks set to return to Europe and is reportedly heading to Galatasaray on a one-year deal.

First reported by David Pick on Twitter, it is understood that the 26-year-old Pleiss will replace Nenad Krstic on the roster with the Serbian edging closer to retirement.

Pleiss received an invite to attend a training camp held by the Brooklyn Nets, after being waived by the Philadelphia 76ers last month but the 7’3″ center declined the offer made by the Nets.

After leaving Barcelona in 2015, Pleiss headed to the Utah Jazz but never broke into the rotation, frequently being assigned to the Jazz’s D-League affiliate the Idaho Stampede.

Pliess is currently with the German national team as they bid to qualify for next year’s Eurobasket to held in Israel, Romania, Finland and Turkey.
