NBA commissioner Adam Silver acknowledged concerns about the ongoing negotiations between the Portland Trail Blazers and the city of Portland over plans to renovate the Moda Center.

Speaking to reporters, Silver suggested discussions have “gone off track” and said “several open issues need to be resolved” before the project can move forward.

A key step in the process will come on August 12, when the Portland City Council is expected to vote on approving $120 million in funding for the proposed renovation.

According to recent reports, city officials are still seeking greater clarity from the Trail Blazers regarding how the requested funding would be used.
