Former Dallas Mavericks majority owner Mark Cuban has filed a pre-suit deposition in Dallas County District Court.

According to reports, he alleges that the franchise’s current majority owners, the Adelson and Dumont families, engaged in “adversarial business practices” by excluding him from plans for a new arena and entertainment district.

The filing specifically names Mavericks governor Patrick Dumont.

Cuban argues that his businesses were “contractually entitled to participate” in the proposed arena development at the site of the former Valley View Mall.

According to The Dallas Morning News, the filing could ultimately lead to a lawsuit seeking to block the purchase agreement.

Cuban, who sold his controlling stake in the Mavericks in 2023 but retained a 27 percent ownership share, claims he was unfairly shut out of a major project despite his continued investment in the franchise.
