The Los Angeles Clippers have officially signed second-round draft pick Nick Martinelli to a two-way contract, according to the NBA’s official transactions log.
Martinelli was selected with the 55th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets before his draft rights were traded to the Clippers in exchange for cash.
He will occupy the team’s second two-way roster spot alongside Sean Pedulla, while Los Angeles still has one two-way position available.
The 6-foot-7 forward spent all four years of his college career at Northwestern, where he developed into one of the Big Ten’s top scorers.
He averaged more than 20 points per game in each of his final two seasons and shot an impressive 41.7 percent from three-point range last year, although his perimeter shooting was less consistent during his sophomore and junior seasons.
Martinelli also made an impact on the glass, averaging 6.2 rebounds per game over the past two years, including more than two offensive rebounds per contest.
The Clippers selected four players in this year’s draft. Martinelli and Keaton Wagler have now signed their contracts, while 36th overall pick Baba Miller remains unsigned.
Meanwhile, 57th overall selection Narcisse Ngoy is expected to remain overseas after committing to play at Auburn during the 2026-27 season as a domestic draft-and-stash prospect.
