Billy Donovan joins Spurs as lead assistant

Billy Donovan has agreed to become the lead assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs under head coach Mitch Johnson, according to ESPN.

After spending the past 11 seasons as a head coach with the Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder, Donovan is returning to an assistant coaching role.
