Zaire Wade, the son of NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade, was arrested Sunday in California on suspicion of felony domestic violence, according to multiple reports.

The 24-year-old was taken into custody by the Burbank Police Department before being released later the same day after posting a $50,000 bond.

He is currently facing allegations of felony domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment.

Authorities have also issued an emergency protective order.

Police reportedly responded to a 911 call early Sunday morning after receiving reports of a woman screaming inside the residence.

When officers arrived, they found a woman with lacerations to her face and body.

Paramedics evaluated her at the scene, though she was not transported to a hospital. Officers also removed a handgun from the home following the arrest.

The investigation has since been forwarded to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which will determine whether formal charges will be filed.

Wade has pursued a professional basketball career after going undrafted, spending time with the G League’s Salt Lake City Stars before playing overseas in South Africa and Macau.
